「Very friendly lady at the front desk. You can tell they are still renovating the outside but the rooms are brand new and nice! Great stay and price」

「The room cleaning was really disappointing and not up to standard. The hotel offers a daily USD 15 credit per room for restaurant spending, but when we stayed in two rooms and spent USD 30 at Starbucks, it wasn’t deducted at checkout. Since my bill was sent directly to my email, I only realized the mistake after receiving it. Very frustrating experience.」

「I am very angry about this stay. When I checked in, the door and windows were left open, and the room smelled damp and moldy. The curtain had what looked like blood stains, and the bedsheet had mold spots. Since it was already late and I had a full workday the next day, I reluctantly decided to stay. When I picked up the plastic “Do Not Disturb” sign, I found oil on it, which was disgusting. The room had almost no sound insulation. 「room was clean and view from there was good. I checked in late and the receptionist came out from a room (may be he is in sleep mode). He checked me in a room for handicapped so I had to go back and asked for another one. He forgot to give me breakfast vouchers. Hotel is old and maintenance work is being done. Noise from work, and carpark exit was changed without clear guide.」

「Excellent location, staff was professional, $25 to park outside and $10 resort fee add up on a stay, staff was knowledgeable, wonderful dog park and trail across the street from the hotel. Dog friendly, and guest friendly. One negative: the hotel states it doesn’t allow cigarette, vape, marijuana smoking in the hotel, rooms, patio and common areas. 「Great stay at Newport Bay Inn as always. My room was clean and cozy. Most importantly there are no bugs like some of the surrounding motels in the area.」

「We loved the pool. the depth the hours and the cleanliness. The only suggestion I have is to have a real breakfast. Some scrambled eggs bacon and or sausage. Also add a bell to the office door or at the desk upon entering the office to help travelers avoid having to call office to get someone to come out and assist. All else. Was great. Thank you.」
