I enjoyed my stay at Motel 6 Costa Mesa. Víctor at the front desk was friendly as I checked in. I didn’t have any issues while I was there. The room I stayed in smelled like smoke somewhat, so that was a bummer, but it wasn’t horrible. The room was clean, especially the bed and shower which I was very grateful for. There is not much as far as amenities go, but you get what you pay for. Overall it was a good stay.

Rim smelled like a gallon of chlorine was silted down the bathtub but the floors were dirty. Tv did not work and has a pop up to join motel 6 screen blocking the screen. When i asked for grill from the front he said he was leaving. No one there over night. He said have you started here before, i said no and won’t stay here again and he said good. This is hospitality when you want your TV in your room to work??? I do not recommend this place. My room was considered Delux because it has a mini fridge. Which on this app fridge AND microwave are very standard!

The room door would not open with the card key when I arrived and the front desk person reprogrammed the card and the door will not open. It could not be fixed and I went somewhere else and requested a refund.

Between the shower head falling off and hitting my head, the junkies and meth head hanging out in front of their car and talking loud and yelling at each other until late into the night, being woken up around 3am to a homeless guy taking everything out of the garbage right next to my door and window, We checked out a day early. And unfortunately I have to make an appointment with a skin Dr on Monday because I now have some strange blisters on my lower legs that where not there before my stay at the hotel. So, no I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.
This is right next to my door and window. This is also after I picked up the trash on the ground.
Turned on the water, the shower head fell on my head.
No mirrors in the bathroom or room.

I checked out immediately. There was not one section of grass or dirt that was piled high eith years of dog feces. The rooms are supposed to be non smoking but mine smelled if someone had been chain smoking in there moments before I walked in. Roaches everywhere. All of this luxury for $129 a night because it was a Friday.. Front desk guy was beyond rude.. Try the Motel 6 in Fountain its clean and well taken care of.

The property is not as clean as it looks in the pictures. It was not quiet and I couldn’t sleep well. The night shift staff wasn’t friendly at all but the receptionist and cleaner in the morning shift were nice and helpful. I borrowed an iron and hair dryer at front desk.

It was late into the night, and there was partying in the rooms next to ours. In the bathroom, I found a large live roach and recorded it on video. I wasn't eager to stay a second night there, but Expedia wouldn't issue a refund, citing that they couldn't do more because they couldn't contact the motel staff.
