"Stayed here for a long weekend. Location was convenient to major attractions all within walking distance. Longest walk was approximately 30 mins. but it a brisk weather it was nice. About a 8 minute walk to the airport express bus. Hotel breakfast was very good, lots of options and fresh. Hotel staff were friendly."

"loved the vibe of the mercantile and it's location. Most staff were super friendly and helpful, drink was delicious at the bar. Really liked the utilization of the small space - efficient and attractive. Would highly recommend this for solo travelers as the perfect base to explore Dublin on foot. Worth noting that you could hear sirens outside and people above you, but both passed soon enough. Dropped score a little because the shower didn't work the first day but it was fixed in like ten minutes total."

"Accessibility Guest Highly Recommends: I have mobility issues and use a mobility scooter to get around, and Zanzibar Locke Hotel was the best. I reserved the Twin Accessible Room, and it was very spacious, with a bedroom, living room, and kitchen/dining areas, along with an accessible bathroom. I had no issues getting my scooter in and out of the room or navigating with my walker. The bathroom was fully accessible with bars, a shower seat, and all the accessible features you would need. I can easily see it accommodating a wheelchair or other mobility devices. It was perfect for my needs. Also, the common areas of the hotel were easily accessible. We ate in the dining room twice and had coffee in the coffee shop daily. The scooter wasn't an issue. The staff was great to work with. I purchased an inexpensive walker at "Active Living Pharmacy" two blocks north of the hotel, and the hotel staff arranged to donate it to a local charity since I was not going to bring it home. The location couldn't have been better! I was able to scooter all around central Dublin, from Trinity University to St. Patrick's Cathedral, to the Guinness Storehouse, to the Temple Bar Neighborhood. Speaking of Dublin, the only issue I had was that some of the old stores had steps to get into, but usually there was one next door that didn't. I got into every place I wanted to go. It's a very accessible city. Go and have a Guinness at the Palace Bar."

"Property had a fun vibe and loved the downstairs cafe. However we booked the 4 room dorm with private bathroom for 4 people and surprised it did not come with towels. Bed came with sheets and blanket but no towels. We had to rent towels £20. I also booked a double room with private bathroom and this included towels. I was told at the establishment when we checked in that all dorms are this way with towels not provided. If that’s the case then Expedia should mention this for the room when you book it. I went back and checked Expedia for the room and our confirmation and no where did it say towels not included. And talking to other families that booked a dorm room like us, they also had not known they would be charged for towels. Not sure who is at fault, Expedia or the establishment. Either way should be clear when you book this type of room that towels are extra. Hoping someone sees this and updates the information."
