One of the receptionists made a memorable effort to communicate with us in one of our native languages—a gesture that felt incredibly welcoming and personal. While we didn't have breakfast at the property, there's a convenient coffee shop Sizuya-Shichijo nearby offering delicious options for around 800 yen, which worked perfectly for us. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking quality accommodations paired with genuinely thoughtful service."

"This is a great hotel that had a very comfortable bed and the room was very quiet. It is located reasonably close to the busier tourist sites (15-20 minute walk) but provides a place of calm should you wish to escape. The main floor bakery / cafe is excellent (fabulous focaccia) and the restaurant / bar on the rooftop is also fantastic. Other amenities such as the gym (small but decent) and laundry (very easy to use) are nice features. "

"The hotel is very conveniently located within the main train station. Not at all noisy though. It’s clean and comfortable. Staff at check in were very efficient. Check-in and check-out is super quick and easy even though there were morning queues being a convention hotel. Would definitely recommend if staying in Kyoto and want to get around the city. "
