We have had a pleasant stay in Mitsui Garden hotel.the hotel lobby is decorated in gorgeous Japanese style. Room was clean, modern with all necessary items, Bed was comfortable. The service was outstanding. The hotel is located in the center of Kyoto within 5 min walking distance to market, shopping, restaurants and entertainment. If I ever come back to Kyoto I will stay in this hotel again.

One of the best hotels I've had the pleasure of staying in across all my trips to Japan. The staff was genuinely kind and welcoming, even conversing with me and asking questions beyond polite small talk. The room was beautiful, and the baths were serene and clean. Easy to reach from Kyoto-kawaramachi station. I will be coming back on my next visit to Kyoto!

This property has n above average sized room, comfortable firm mattress with feather pillows, and the best Japanese breakfast I have had traveling throughout Japan for 30 days. The onsen was meticulously cleaned and water temperature perfect to sooth my aching legs and feet after a day of 20,000 steps to see the sakura and temples, go to the shopping mall, grab a bite, etc..all conveniently close. The service is impeccable and the value very high for its location near the classic old Gion district and Nishiki market. Just a few blocks from bus station and train. Shopping choices are amazing. I would definitely stay here again, when in Kyoto. Modern, elegant style with traditional service.

This hotel is located very close to Kyoto’s main shopping area and within walking distance to Gion. Our standard room was a bit tight for two with CO luggage but the shower was great and beds were comfortable. We did not dine at the hotel as there are plenty of local options including a GREAT western brkfst restaurant 15 min walk away coffee shops with excellent morning joez
