「We enjoyed the stay and would definitely return if in the area. We had a courtyard room, across the road from the main hotel. It was very clean, smartly decorated, toasty warm. Nice touches like a coffee machine and water complimentary. The king bed was comfy. Breakfast was a good selection, quality items, and cooked items (eggs and salmon) were excellent. Staff were very welcoming. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel but the dining and bar areas looked smart.」

「Absolutely fantastic property. Messaging the owner was simple, with quick responses. Great neighborhood. Easy 5 minute walk (downhill) to shops, pubs and restaurants. A little longer (and more work) back up the hill. Extremely clean, well appointed and comfortable. Easy to get to local estates and attractions. If renting a car, get the smallest you can as the streets in and around Bakewell are very narrow. Would rent again!」

「Average stay, tv not receiving signal, boiler broke down, although owner came out to fix within a few hours. Very poor welcome pack (small bottle of milk). No logs or kindling for log burner. View from back of cottage spoilt by messy and junk strewn garden. Nice location with good pubs in village that did good food, just check what days they open.」

「Was a lovely place to stay, not too far from anything we wanted to do which was great. The host had kindly left milk, butter and eggs for us in the kitchen which we appreciated! The house was tidy and clean. My only comment would be that there were lots of cobwebs in the rooms but otherwise we had a lovely stay 」
