Excellent place to stay in beautiful area

Excellent inn in beautiful countryside. Staff very friendly everything spotlessly clean bed, pillows and linen very comfortable. Would not hesitate to stay again

A lovely location to stay for a few days walking. Owners and staff welcoming and friendly, good food, breakfast & evening, good service. Shepherds huts are clean, warm & cosy. Within good distance for both Chatsworth House & Bakewell also good walks from the inn. I had a very pleasant stay, thank you to the staff.

We booked a Shepherd's Hut for the weekend. The location is stunning and the Plough Inn is a lovely pub. The staff we met were very friendly and helpful and the food in the pub (breakfast and dinner) was excellent. The Shepherd Hut was perfect. It was well equipped, clean, comfortable and incredibly relaxing. This was a perfect relaxing weekend, we will definitely return.

Beautiful historic pub with modern and very comfortable bedroom. Set a small walk away from the village in gorgeous surroundings offering amazing walks in all directions .

The Plough is a quaint and adorable hotel/pub very convenient to the beautiful villages of the Peak District. The staff were friendly, food was delicious and our room was charming. We will definitely return when we visit this area again.

Had a wonderful stay at the The Plough Inn - it's in a stunning location and was a perfect base for many wonderful walks and outdoor adventures. Wonderful place and very dog friendly. At first glance you may think its too nice for them to be accepting of our canine friends, however this isnt the case. Also, the surrounding area is beautiful and dining excellent.

Long Weekend

Our stay was excellent from the welcoming staff to the last moment we left. The food is exceptional, and good value (slightly costly, but worth it). We highly recommend this for its location and quality. The staff were polite and attentive.

I stayed in shepherding hut. In a large field bordering a river – very picture and very quiet. Pub was busy but not noisy. Breakfast was well cooked and plentiful with a huge choice.
