This hotel has potential, but I am afraid that the new owners are going to destroy the property and the Comfort Inn brand name with it.
Here is the list from our 5 night stay.
1. The non-smoking room stank with the strong stench of smoke. We sprayed air fresheners every day and it still did not help.
2. On arrival the toilet would not flush due to some sort of clog. I borrowed the plunger and cleared it myself.
3. The bathroom fan vent was filthy and had restricted air flow. I am tall so I cleaned it
4. one of the small floor tiles at the entry way kept popping up revealing sharp dangerous corners for bare feet. I brought in tape from my truck and the maintenance guys taped it down. Looked horrible, but is now safe.
5. The air conditioner drips its condensation on the rug instead of outdoors. The maintenance guys pulled the unit out, but did not clean the obviously clogged drain line. The did not speak any English, so they just smiled and shook their heads when I asked about the clog. The used a wetvac on it that night, but by the 5th night the carpet was wet 6 or 7 feet from the AC unit. I used a tarp I had in my truck to keep our feet dry.
6. The refrigerator did not cool, even on the coldest setting. Our first night's leftovers we were saving were spoiled and made inedible. The desk clerk and I swapped the good refrigerator from the empty room next door.
7. The brand new sofa bed has no padding over the coils
8. The public restrooms had no paper towels
9. more..
