「The monastery has beautiful gardens to explore in any weather. The accommodation itself is spartan and authentic to the purpose, but is still good material value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for the gardens alone, but the unique experience is also an attraction.」

「Food was excellent, breakfast plentiful and tasty, evening meals were very good. Bathroom we were in was a little cramped and the floor tiles were cracked and broken. Overall the whole stay was very pleasant , the staff were very friendly without being overly so. Would definitely go back if we were in the area.」

「Paul and Sophie were the consumate hosts. Attentive without being over bearing. The property is in first class order with everything you could need for a perfect quiet stay. The breakfast was amazing and freshly cooked to order every day. As we have family in the area, we have always struggled to find good accommodation but Lynedene ticked all the boxes!! 「Convenient good value hotel. Spacious clean room in good condition with large comfy bed. Although very close to M62 the double and secondary glazing did a great job to keep the traffic noise out. The included breakfast was grab and go style but the bacon sandwich was hot and well-filled, good choice of other items. We used for a music event in Halifax, and will very probably use next time!」
