"Positives and negatives:
+ Rooms actually are nicer than they look in the pictures. We were pleasantly surprised
+ Restaurant is really good quality, both staff and food were great
+ Aircon worked very well and room didn't seem to humid
+ Love these guys because they are kind to animals.
- No late checkout. It's advertised at a $50 cost, but when we told "Donni" that we wanted to check out at 1pm she said that we had to leave at 10am because someone else was going to stay in the room. The place was not fully booked, and so if check in is at 3pm is 2 hours not enough to clear a room?
- Tuesdays is Renovation day. If you are staying on a Tuesday, bring your earplugs. They were working on the rooms or the roof and it was all day with power tools. We knew about the partying until 10 and 11pm, but we were not counting on losing the nap."
"The pros: staff were kind and friendly, and the rooms are nice and spacious.
The cons: the room we were in got barely any sun, so the pool was always too cold to use. The insect screens were broken so we were constantly battling mosquitos in our room. The listing states two restaurants when there is only one, it says they have bikes which they don’t, they don’t actually have a shuttle, they just arrange one for you but a few days notice minimum is apparently required. They advertise snorkelling gear, but one we picked up was filled with black mould, and the flippers were torn and unable to be used. And the breakfast buffet… easily the worst I’ve ever had.
To put it simply, the price does not match the quality you will receive. The price should be halved, then the experience you get would be reasonable"
"Cub Raro is the most relaxed resort ive ever stayed in. It may not be 5 star but it has everything you need, including great staff. We would definitely stay here again when traveling with just adults."
"Our 2nd time staying here, we love it, good location, on beach.
Quiet and peaceful
Hosts super friendly and helpful.
All conveniences supplied if you want to be able to do some of your own food, which sometimes you need to do in Raro, as supplies not always easy to get.
Highly recommend this wonderful resort."
"We stayed 8 nights at Manuia Resort for our honeymoon and it was amazing! We stayed in a garden room suite, the room was large clean and the bed was super comfy!
The small details are what stood out to us, there was insect repellent (which we forgot), umbrellas which we didn’t even think of, the Nespresso machine made a beautiful coffee and once we had checked out we were still allowed to use all the facilities until our flight later in the afternoon.
Happy hour from 12pm-6pm was an absolute treat the $30 beer jug was one of our go too’s. Shout out to Jay from the OTB restaurant he’s an absolute legend and went the extra mile for us!
One of the biggest highlights of our stay was the fire show on the Sunday, it pays to book a few days in advance. The show is at the resort which makes things super easy and the buffet bbq was one of the best meals we had. If you can though ask to be seated close to the windows as we got seated close to the bar and had the rest of the punters lined up to get their food around us while we ate.
All in all our stay exceeded our expectations and we can’t wait to come back."
"We stayed at Atupa for 6 nights it had everything you could need and think of .... fabulous stay I'm definitely going back there next trip .... highly recommend...... no faults what so ever."
