The apartment we stayed in was my quiet large. Plenty of room for 3 to 4 people. It was very clean and the owner made us feel at home and gave us great information about the local area and surrounds.

Lovely bright room. Complementary breakfast on arrival. Close to Lagoon with beautiful coral and quality snorkel and mask loaned at Black Pearl. It was a cheerful holiday home and hope to return. Thankyou Paul, Maisie, Nga and ofcourse Lily the dog.

Lovely accommodation situated across from a beautiful beach. Lovely and super helpful staff. There is a supermarket next door and a bus stop across the road. Wifi hot spots nearby. I had a lovely stay and would consider Black Pearl on my next trip.

We loved our stay at the Black Pearl. Our room was spacious with beautiful painted butterflies and leaves on the wall. The owners keep the grounds immaculate and are helpful and friendly. Shipwreck bar is short walk down the beach.

We could not fault Paul, Rangi and Nga for their hospitality and assistance during our 2 week visit. Recommendations to local businesses and transport provided to uplift our rental car and their friendliness made for a memorable holiday. Black Pearl is in a good location, easy access to a snorkelling beach and walking distance to some eateries. Would we return to Black Pearl, Yes.

Our two week stay at the Black Pearl was so lovely. Paul is an excellent host who takes great care of his property and has great local knowledge. Our room was large and comfortable. The saltwater pool is convenient for days when you don't feel like getting sandy at the beach. There is a dairy/ fuel station/ ice cream shop right next door and Aro's Shipwreck Bar/ Restaurant within walking distance. The library of books, snorkel gear and reef shoes we borrowed during our stay really added to our experience!

My family stayed here for a week and we couldn't be more impressed by our host Paul and his fabulous seaside apartments. The guests ranged from single travellers, couples to families, and The Black Pearl was perfect for all. The rooms were spacious and well stocked, and we were pleasantly surprised with a prepaid local telephone for each unit to use. The location was perfect, with a beautiful beach across the road and a short distance to great snorkelling. There was a small food store next door which had everything we needed, plus a great cafe and ice cream parlor, which made my kids happy. We loved our stay here and would recommend this accommodation to everyone. Simply the best!

Paul & his team are amazing hosts. The Black Pearl is a lovely place to stay without the hustle and bustle of a big complex. Everything is available from a washing machine, BBQ & reef shoes. The beach is a 30 second walk accross the road and there is a restaurant and garage right next door for any snacks or drinks if needed. Paul can provide great recommendations for restaurants and car hire! Thank you so much for making our first trip to Raro truly on to remember!!

Good wee spot

Lovely beach across the road, a well-stocked shop next door and the bus stop just along the road means this is a good place to stay if you want to have some peace and quiet, away from the main resort areas. It is a good middle-of-the-road option. The units are roomy and the beds comfortable. Hosts were very accomodating and staff all pleasant. I would stay here again

A fantastic, relaxing stay in Rarotonga

The Black Pearl is a great spot to base yourself on Rarotonga - excellently located within walking distance of good bars / restaurants and our favourite beach on the island Aroa Beach. The property is spotlessly clean and the room was a great size with all we needed for our stay. Comfy bed and the ceiling fan meant we could stay cool in the heat and relaxed! Best of all are the hosts Steve and Janelle - who are quick to make you feel welcome. Hope to stay with you again someday!
