「40 years ago, someone told me this was the best place to stay in Newport. I finally got here. It is a1700s house, well preserved and reflective of the period. There is a newer wing, but we stayed in the original house. Great atmosphere. We were served wonderful breakfasts, and delicious afternoon tea, all included in the roommate. For a unique experience, try it.」
「Great spot. We enjoyed the outdoor area as well. Only thing that would prevent me from staying again is that it is not dog friendly. Most of Newport is so that was a bit of a disappointment.」
「This property is very nice. Our room was quiet. Some fixtures are aging, for example, in the bathroom. The rug was older too with stains left from cleaning products or a little damage, but overall nice. Interesting that there aren't some of the typical amenities like face soap or lotion. The breakfast was fantastic! Reminiscent of Europe. The area is safe and walkable with lots of shops and restaurants. We had a great stay!」
