The property was in an ideal location. Easy transit and a short walk to Canal St. The breakfast every morning was excellent. All of the staff we spoke with were friendly and helpful. This was our first time staying at a Sonesta property, but it will certainly not be our last. There were lots of dining out spots within easy walking distance, as well as many options for Theatres and the SuperDome.

Room was clean and was a good size for the price. Walk away from everything: parking, bourbon st, canal st, Jackson square, etc. Staff was super friendly and available. Only downside is we stayed 7 nights and room service only came 1 time. We had to constantly ask for new towels, toilet paper, etc. Basic breakfast is provided if that's all you need. The area and some parts of the hotel showed it's age and was not super clean. Bus stop outside causes homeless to hang in area.

Arrived to find out that the type of room I booked wasn’t available. Made the reservation beginning of Jan for travel mid March. Front desk was sympathetic and pleasant and was able to put me in another room however it was a downgrade. Originally reserved a king and queen bed suite. Was provided with a king bed and pull out sofa. Wasn’t offered a refund for the cost difference of the room. Once we got to the room, it was clear housekeeping left mid-job. Bed had no linens (they were in a ball on the floor,) bathroom hadn’t been cleaned (traces of blood, spit and hair in the sink, dirty toilet,) and the kitchen section of the room, while counters were wiped down, floor was still covered in crumbs. No trash bags in cans, no tissue, no toilet paper and no clean towels. It literally was like housekeeping went on break and didn’t comeback. Went to the front desk to inquire about having sheets for the king bed, toilet paper for the room and towels and was told that housekeeping had left for the day. We asked if those few essentials could please be sent up while we went out to dinner. When we came back we were happy to find the king bed had been dressed and made by someone, and the toilet paper and towels left on the pull out couch for us. So our experience did not start well at all. That being said, the staff we interacted with were all very pleasant. The breakfast buffet was decent with quite a few options. The location was great. Just an unfortunate arrival

Nice clean room. Could use some upgrade on appliances and cabinet door were peeling in areas. The refrigerator was noisy. The dishwasher did not work and we were offered another room but declined. Maintenance was nice and polite. Desk and breakfast attendants were courteous. Would stay again.

I DO NOT recommend! Check in is at 4:00, our room wasn’t ready until 5:30. Many other people had issues with their room not being ready as well. Once we finally got in our room the air conditioner didn’t work. I called the front desk twice, it was never fixed. I called and ask for bedding for the pull out couch, we never got it.

Located downtown just steps away from Canal and Bourbon street. Rooms are spacious and the breakfast options are decent. I will say that we experienced a loud level of noise because are room was facing the side of the building where the trash dumpsters are. Please request a room with a view of the super-dome.

The suite was the best, unfortunately I was charged twice at check in, an issue that wasn’t resolved until I was able to speak to the hotel manager several days into my trip. The location was perfect though, once they processed my refund for the false charge I had a terrific time..only I overheard someone else being checked in who had the same thing happen to them so just be very thorough about being charged at check in
