「First this is a weekend town. Sundays and Mondays it’s like the whole town and lake are asleep. Nothing is open. We stayed in 2 rooms at the chase house for 4 nights with waterfront balconies. The hotel is divided into four different buildings. The church landing building seemed to be the most ideal where you can actually enjoy the lake with the room you’re paying for. In the chase house, you are across the street. And the street during the day is LOUD! Trucks and motorcycles all day...

My favorite details include : The grand staircase in the foyer, the design of old world charm in the rooms, the top notch amenities like kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming in an infinity pool overlooking the lake. We saw a bald eagle and loons on the lake. Couldn’t have been a more perfect stay!」

「The property needs a refurbish. The bathroom was dirty. Under vanity used detritus, hair in bath tub and on shower walls and in corner behind door. Cups of liquid in refrigerator. Old waterbottles, dust, paper, qtips in space between head of bed and wall. Poor water pressure on the 1st day and worse the second day. Parking lot with broken cement and same on handicap walkway. Staff sarcastic when questioned price increase from $164. On Monday and $404.00.on Tuesday.」

「Samantha checked us in and is so friendly and kind. I enjoyed chatting with her almost every day during our week long stay. Debbie is an excellent server at the breakfast buffet and even gave us great advice on local bakeries and easy hiking spots to check out. Also, Yasheen is wonderful at the front desk. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. The window had an unobstructed view of birch trees and forest. Very comfortable bed and we slept great. Parking was never a problem even during the busy...

「This is our 2nd stay here. We got a 3 bedroom condo. The room was clean and spacious. The Murphy bed was on the uncomfortable side. They had a list of activities that you do need to sign up for I believe. They also provide a binder with information for local restaurants, bars etc. Would stay here again」

「What a wonderful boutique hotel! The rooms are clean and many rooms have a mountain theme. Their lobby store is wonderful! So many cute things and all local to New Hampshire! The restaurant in the hotel is amazing. Highly recommend the Common Man!」

「Over all we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and the staff pleasant and accommodating. We did not use the pool. The building is very close to the road which could be noisy at times. The diner next door and the burger place across the street were very convenient and very good.」
