My family found Azul to be a beautiful resort in a fantastic location in Negril. The beach is calm and warm- just steps from hotel rooms. All the staff was excellent during every encounter- kind, polite, friendly, & helpful. There may have been 1 or 2 times a server was quiet/aloof but never rude. Tipping 1-2 dollars per service was very common here but servers were thankful and didn't automatically expect it. The rooms were quite comfortable and any signs of being outdated were minimal. The beds were great and the whole resort was very clean at all times. The shower was spacious but water pressure and temp would fluctuate from warmish to hot to cold and would turn to a literal trickle for 5 seconds before returning to normal. This occurred all week, no matter the time of day- weird but tolerable. There is a lack of towels that was not addressed by management. If you leave dirty towels for housekeeping they are not replaced. There are no bath mats and you have to get up before 8:00am to get pool/beach towels. They do not get refilled for the rest of the day unless a beach attendant pities you or you gave them a good tip the day before. Bringing your own beach towels & floats is your best bet. If you want a cabana/bed or even chairs, you have to save them before 7:00am. The food was nothing special. There was plenty to eat but the buffets were boring. The coffee bar was great. Overall it was a wonderful trip, but you should know it's not quite 5-star excellence...

Chambre en général pas très propre bar piscine pas sourire si oui 3 sur 20 buffets aussitôt porte ouverte manger froid encore là pas service beaucoup attitude sont pas tous sans sourire en pourcentage de 100%je note 30% après m’avoir changé chambre 2fois la dernière chambre j’ai été upgrater et c’était parfait service a chambre excellent si ont me demande si je referais cette hôtel je dirais NON due chambres et personnels rester au AZUL c’est pas donné ça faut pas le prix qu’on pay après ma 5ieme fois à NEGRIL

So Many pools to choose from. Amazing. Staff were amazing, helpful and knowledgeable. Food was wonderful. We had the best time. The only thing that needs to be fixed are the roads. Very bad to get from Montego Bay to Negril.

Pools are great and the beach is beautiful with plenty of trees, cabanas and lawn chairs. There are high chairs in all restaurants. Use bug spray for ackee restaurant. Food and drinks is good. Overall staff is amazing. I would recommend this place for families. I would come back again. Our favourite people are Flame, T.T., aqua sports rental staff including Ashley and the other lady, Travis and the guy always under the tree on the beach.

Mr. BTTO and the activities staff were truly fabulous. Our family especially enjoyed the daily beach volleyball at 11—it was a highlight of our trip. The evening entertainment was also wonderful, and the staff throughout the resort were consistently friendly and welcoming. The people and beach were the highlights of our trip. That said, the resort itself is quite outdated and in need of significant repairs. Many of the walkways and decks felt worn and unsafe in places. The pool area lacked enough lounge chairs, making it difficult for families to relax outside of the water. The beach cabanas also need attention—cushions were dirty, ripped and everything appeared worn down. The food was what you expect for an all inclusive. Some good and some was not so great. Unfortunately, our room was also disappointing. The sofa bed was very dirty, and the mattress had springs poking through, making it unusable. As a result, our fifth family member had to sleep in our king bed. We were told this issue couldn’t be fixed during our stay. The cleaning staff were great! She kept the room clean during our stay. They did a great job restocking waters and sodas. Overall, while the staff and activities were excellent, the condition of the resort and accommodations needs serious improvement.

The people are very friendly and sociable. The beach is stunning, great sand and calm waters. Not very impressed by the food, I would have liked more choices and local cuisine and fruits. Wonderful for relaxing and a quieter getaway.

The furniture in every room needs to be replaced and the sofa was so stained and dirty we had to ask for extra towels to put on it (although the bed and pillows were comfortable). Balcony was missing one chair, nether got it after one week. The grounds and beach are beautiful, clean and very well maintained. The boardwalks are in terrible condition, tripping hazard in some areas (would never pass Ontario health and safety). Upholstered furniture across the property is damaged and heavily stained (totally gross). Aside the buffets, the food is atrocious (smelly seafood, canned and frozen products are used, greasy - worse was the Asian restaurant). The service at all à la carte restaurant is extremely slow so your food arrives cold (understaffed). For example, it took two hours to get two of the three courses for our private beach dinner and we ended up skipping dessert or we would have missed the 9:00 pm show. Nightly entertainment was good, preceded by DJ music at 7:00 pm. Guest service was horrible. All you get is empty promises and lip service. We were given a voucher for a free private dinner on the beach ($150 value) for attending their Prestige Club presentation but not told to keep the voucher till check out. The carpet in their presentation area was beyond disgusting - wipe your feet on the way out material. Upon checkout their added the charge to our bill. After 1/2 hour it was apparently sorted out. Only to find out that they still charged our CC. Still zero reply.

The beach is just STUNNING!!! The Jamaican restaurant was good but way to spicy for those who cannot handle hot spice. The meat patties were delicious but again, way to spicy for those who cannot handle hot spice. Their version of mild is HOT. I have been to Negril so many times and this is the first time I see a resort that does not have mild versions of the hot dishes. The staff are the best thing in this resort, hands down. The beach life guard Rush is AMAZING!!! Made my stay all the better. Amelia that worked at the restaurants was also AMAZING! They provided top notch service. As for the resort, it needs renovations. My room was good but the balcony needed help. It rained outside, it rained on one side of the balcony. I would say 3 star resorts.

We were greeted upon arrival, staff is very polite. A few went above and beyond. We did excursions and rides off site but not thru the hotel, we did those on our own. We had the premier swim up suite. We will definitely be back.

In mid March the pools were cold, wait times at the restaurants were long, waits at the espresso bar made it almost unusable, and we were never able to get a Jamaican patty our whole visit, lol. Our room had light odors of “plumbing” for periods of the day. But, the food was good, the beach was wonderful, the room was comfortable (and didn’t smell most of the day), the balcony had a nice view and ultimately it was an acceptable stay for us coupled with time at another resort.
