"Checking in was awful. There is no front desk here and the phone number noted on the front door wasn't in service. My boyfriend ended up wandering down the street and by chance found someone who could help us. It didn't make for a great start to the vacation. Once we were in, it was very nice and clean. "Not all the restaurants have a restroom you need to leave the restaurant and go to the lobby, which is inconvenient Also, not all our restaurants have full bar you need to go to the lobby bar and get your own cocktail if you are not drinking wine or beer. Lastly, very limited to no selection of fresh fish or seafood."

"I would recommend to confirm the booking and prices with the property. Have a confirmation with the property. I booked through expedia and owed the property the remaining amount when arrived at check in. The property did not have the correct information took over 3 hrs to check in. The property overcharged when checking in than emailed 1 day later saying we still had an outstanding bill. I contacted expedia who confirmed All the amounts charged and received. Than to find out the $500us credit per room is not a credit they are coupons that have stipulations on using them. I had to wait to get home to clear everything with expedia and to be credited the over payments back and the false advertising of the $500us. The resort took no accountability and blamed expedia. The pool/restaurant staff were polite- food was good. The room was average."

"The room was clean and housekeeping would clean up very nicely. The staff were so friendly, helpful and nice. The staff from the restaurant sal & pimienta (Claudia, Linda and Rhenata) did an amazing job. A shout out to the Japanese restaurant staff too for making my birthday so memorable. Thanks to Paquel, Carlos and the rest of the staff for an amazing time. The reception staff made my check in and checked out so well. The poolside always clean 👌 I love this hotel and would recommend it."

"Loved the modernity and comfort of the place. Even though it was a small resort without a plethora activities, the food quality was excellent, the room were was well arranged, and enjoyed the few activities we did take part in. Concierge was very responsive and helpful and the spa was great. The staff in general were very attentive and were quick to remedy the few small miscommunications that we dealt with. The view of the corner swim out suite is quite obscured if you’re big on views but it wasn’t an issue for me. I was not particularly fond of their pushy sales partner’s long and drawn out vacation package presentation. For some people, it’s excellent but I knew from the beginning I didn’t think it would end up being for me. Overall I would recommend this Unico as great resort option for a shorter vacation/ extended getaway and ultimately wouldn’t mind returning to one of their properties in the future, just completely on my own terms."
