"Mimaru is an excellent place to stay in Kyoto. It is only three subway stops from Kyoto Stdtion and it is in a very quiet area. It has exceptional amenities and our room was impeccably clean and very comfortable. There is a Family Mart about 30m from the front entrance. Highly recommended."

"We booked the Pokémon room. It was a surprise for my 3 kids and they were over the moon. They loved the bunk beds, the Pokémon decor, plushy and dishes. It was a nice reprieve from the tight hotel rooms. We stayed in most evenings because it was so comfortable. The staffs were helpful and nice. "Love this mimaru location, 3 min to Shinsaibashi Shopping district and we can take the stroll all the way to Namba. Close to two subway stations : Shinsaibashi and Nagaboribashi (closer). Wonderful multi-lingual staff, extremely helpful and accommodating. With two young kids, the room is roomy and comfortable. Kids and us had a great time staying at this hotel. I would suggest the hotel have Chromecast for rent or enable some sort of streaming platforms. The TV selection is limited for...

"Clean modern apartment. Beds were the comfiest I've stayed in whilst in Japan. Very close to sites of Kyoto. Only niggle was no staff around to ask any questions and the spa wasn't included in the price of the room. 8000yen for 90 minutes"
