"It was nice, but I wanted my food served in my room, but it was a buffet style. Otherwise the Hot Springs is nice along the river…..very big and if you’re looking for a small ryokan style this is not it. This is more for a group activities."

Amenities at the lounge and free shuttle service to/from Yamagata station is important for me so it's nice to have that. Room is spacious, very peaceful stay."
