"We just returned from a 4 night stay at Cabana Bay Resort. The room we stayed in had a strong odor that gave me a headache. I made the front desk aware of the situation and told them we were leaving the room while they tried to figure out what was going on. The second night I still noticed the strong smell so they tried changing the air filter. We had to leave the hotel a few times because my headache was so strong due to the smell. Upon check out I asked if there was any compensation for the times we had to leave and the inconvenience of the smell to which I was told I could have a free coffee voucher. I was disappointed with the customer service."

"Half of the water slides were not working, the lobby bathrooms had 4 clogged toilets, the icemaker on our floor was missing, there was no way to communicate with the lobby from our room for more towels. No food available after 10, not even the little store. No hot water in the morning"

"My family and I love this property for our Orlando theme park vacations. It’s a well maintained, affordable and quiet stay. It’s like staying in your own little apartment, which is the sort of hotel stay that I prefer to a more traditional single room hotel that doesn’t have a kitchen, washer dryer, etc. I need to be able to do my own laundry and maintain some semblance of normalcy while on vacation to keep my own sanity. My children are older, but I would imagine it’d be even better for families with younger children, as everyone can get a little space for themselves to unwind. Everyone’s different, and that’s how my family likes to do it. We stayed here a year ago and plan to again the next time we plan a trip to Disney or Universal. There is a bus shuttle to both those parks that run in the morning and bring you back in the afternoon, you just have to book your party with the company and use the code the hotel gives you to use the bus services for free. This resort is a fraction of the price of many others in the area and is a great stay."
