The Franconia Inn

The Franconia Inn

8/10 Good
"Unfortunately our room became infested with gnats while we were at dinner in the Pub. The staff tried to kill them by spraying our room but the spray residue was overwhelming and we were concerned about what we were breathing while we slept. It seems to be a yearly occurrence…"

Thayers Inn

Thayers Inn

8/10 Good
"This is a very old inn. Floors are all very creaky and uneven. We were on the ground floor and it was really noisy. Once we finally crashed, (quiet hours) the bed was very comfortable and I don't think either one of woke up until the morning!"

The Barron Brook Inn

The Barron Brook Inn

10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely. I’d keep the personal story, but let it breathe a little more: We had a wonderful stay at the Barron Brook Inn! My husband and I stayed with his parents, who were visiting from Poland, and I wanted to find somewhere warm and homey rather than a more upscale, impersonal hotel. This place was absolutely perfect. The inn is charming, comfortable, and full of New England character. We felt genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived, and the owners were warm and friendly. My in-laws especially loved the cozy atmosphere, and I was so happy to give them the kind of authentic New England experience I had hoped for. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!"
