Staying here was a unique experience because the hotel is full of historic charm and character. The rooms were quirky but clean, and the window air conditioners kept them comfortably cool even on hot days. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite with a shared bathroom between the rooms, which worked well for us. The only downside was the clawfoot bathtub, which made showering a bit challenging. The location was excellent—right on the main street with plenty of restaurants and charming shops just steps away. That said, if you have mobility concerns, you may want to consider a more modern hotel, as there is no elevator and the parking area is a short walk downhill from the property.

Honestly The town is in poor condition and very rundown. The hotel is historically interesting but needs major renovations. Interesting shops . Would I make a special trip there ? No. Beautiful untouched countryside and mountains. You really have to use your imagination if you want to see a Pollyanna town . Good movie !

The shower temperature was either scalding or ice cold. Breakfast is a cold continental. It's an old building which is part of the charm. However the circular stair case slants down with low railings. Plan accordingly.

Location is perfect. The building takes you back in the 1850s. We loved it. Room was clean. We went for the experience and we were happy with it. If you prefer modern style, this is not a right match for you. Breakfast was inexistent: coffee, tea and packed sweets. The breakfast option should not be advertised or upgraded to meet minimum standard.

The room and hotel itself was good and adequate for its age and price. I enjoyed the asthetic and the character of the building but was very unimpressed with the service. 3 of the 4 nights we stayed our room never got a turndown while we were away. The sign was out and we were gone each day before 10am and got back later in the evening and nothing was done, no towels, sheets, or trash removal. The one time it was done, it was done by someone who isnt the maid and they forgot a few things which wasn't a big deal, she helped me out very quickly with getting the stuff. I wanted to talk to someone at checkout but the office door was shut and a box for keys was all there was. Oh well for customer service

The location is super convenient and safe. Great bar restaurant downstairs. The A/C was poor and an old window unit. There were insects flying around in the room due to the A/C ancient window unit and was very dirty. The lamp and ceiling light are very old dirty and not in the greatest shape. The place could use some updating and more efficient cleaning. Unfortunately in the AM around 9:00 There were cleaning people dropping F bombs. Luckily I was awake.
