We liked the hotel vibe and location. Close to the beach and many different restaurants. Carpet was a bit dirty when walked on barefoot. Also no phone or way to reach reception unless you call from your phone.

Ein liebevoll geführtes kleines Hotel, am Ocean Drive, dennoch ruhig und sicher. Romantische Rooftopterrasse. Hervorragendes Restaurant im Haus, Walgreens um die Ecke. Trolleystop, Citybikes, Local Bus wenige Minuten entfernt. Zimmer sind fein mit Rituals Produkten, Bademantel und Hausschuhe.

Our toilet was broken and we reported it. While we were out it was mended but the whole bathroom floor was flooded with water from the toilet. We reported this and asked for the room to be cleaned. We were out for several hours, when we returned it was still flooded and we were told the cleaning staff were not available. This was clearly unhygienic and they didn’t have a solution. It was impossible to use the bathroom and we were told there was nowhere else we could shower. We’d been in the sea and needed to get ready for the evening. By the time we got back that night the floor had been dried but we didn’t know if it had been disinfected.. apart from this incident the Local House was a great place to stay

My sister & I loved our stay at The Local House. It was super cute. The staff were wonderful & helpful. The location was as convenient as can be. The restaurant in the main lobby is cozy, welcoming & offers great food & drinks. The only thing that was a little annoying was dealing with the valet service every time we needed to pick up or drop off our car. Most of the time we timed the request well, but at times the wait was a little crazy considering it was an off season time of year. I can't imagine renting a car & paying all the separate expenses during peak seasons. I'd recommend using ride shares instead.

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Quieter than on the main Ocean Drive section, but still really close to the beach and all the main restaurants. Great roof top pool too! Staff were brilliant!

The room was clean and spacious, they even arranged a bunch of balloons for our anniversary, that was very sweet and thoughtful. The staffs were polite and very helpful. The hotel is located on the corner of Ocean Dr and 4th street, very quiet and close to beach, also there was a restaurant at the ground floor. The weather wasn't good for beach until the last day before we left, we finally got chance to use the beach lounge chairs and umbrella for about 1 hour to make ourselves feel better for our paid $40/night resort fee. The rooftop swimming pool was too shallow, the max height was 2'9", and the bad weather made it useless, it was part of resort fee as well. Anyway, it was a nice short vacation stay. The only complain might be the room and the hallway had very strong fragrance kind smell, it was too strong that we had to open the window all the time even if it was raining very hard with strong wind. I think it was very bad for the people who is sensitive and it should not be used.

Ate breakfast at hotel twice. Both times very good food and service. Coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice definitely a highlight. However, the hotel and accommodations were not as nice. Elevator outages 2 of 4 nights there. Room interiors not up to par at all. Shower leaks all over bathoom floor. When air conditioner comes on it somehow would turn the bathroom light on which stayed on for about 15 minutes. Not good for sleeping. Bed was a rock hard memory foam mattress that induced back aches. Pillows not any better. Only staff available were the concierge guys who were always helpful and attentive. Honestly won't stay there again or 'highly recommend' to anyone else.

We loved it! Location is excellent right across from beach and so many nice restaurants. Having the chairs and umbrellas set up at beach was fantastic. (That is part of the amenity fee) The rooms were nice and comfortable and loved having a balcony. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again!
