「Oh this place is beautiful. The main Lodge is a gorgeous building, full of fascinating books and accessories for sale. (Not to mention the sweetest cats). Stanford has the only indoor pool and hot tub for 100 miles. The restaurant was hot garbage, but Mendocino is chock full of wonderful places to eat.」

The breakfasts were the perfect start to the day and generally consisted of a small frittata or 2-egg dish served in a Pyrex ramekin, with a side of freshly baked muffins or cinnamon rolls, and whatever drinks you pre-selected at check-in (coffees and orange juice for us). It's delivered in a basket outside your room each morning at either 8am or 9am (depending on what time you request the day before). There was a small kitchenette (not in the room itself...

「The room is not bad, with a balcony facing the sea, but the hygiene at the bottom of the bed is not too clean. But it is a pet-friendly hotel, and the administrator service is also very good. The price is a little expensive.」

「Rome wasn’t clean. Left over pizza stuff under the beds in both rooms. Shower wasn’t cleaned. Hair still around shower and shower walls were grimy and slimy. Beds were soft and a/c heater worked. No satellite signal to watch tv. No usb adapters or anything. Very plain and classic motel 6 experience and expectations. The place compared to the web page is a total opposite.」

「The Weller House is a lovely 1886 historic home converted into a small hotel. Many of the furnishings are period antiques, and each room is decorated with a different color scheme. Being an old house, it does possess some of the quirks inherent, like creaky floors and stairs everywhere, but it is completely charming. It is also located within walking distance from much of the central downtown area. Two thumbs up!」

「Pictures online very deceptive. This is a very old hotel. The description of a balcony is quite generous. I had a sliding door onto a concrete pad with a fence separating you from a loud bunch of machinery. Definitely not a place you would want to hang out」
