Short Stay in Melbourne

A short stay in the city for Christmas. Staff were friendly and happy to help. We booked for 3 but needed to request extra towels and bedding for our daughter as it was not set up for three as we booked. No big deal but certainly not a service that anticipated our needs.

The staff member who assisted me in challenging times was excellent. He went over & above to help me. Never having driven in Melbourne before, finding the hotel at night on such a busy road was a bit daunting.

My stay was very relaxing and the room was spacious and clean. Bed was a little bit uncomfortable in the middle and was awkward to sleep on, but was comfortable if you stick to one side. The car park was a little tight to get in and out of. Enjoyed my stay, would stay again.

WE had to check in later after getting off spirit of Tassie. staff were very helpful and only to happy to let us put our car in their lock up yard next to hotel as we couldn't fit in the underground park. Room was great huge space, lovely big very comfy bed, I slept like a log. Bathroom was a bit run down but was clean and had everything you needed. Only wish we had time to stay longer.

Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was great and restaurant staff were very friendly. The bed in the room wasn't great though( Two king size singles pushed together so the bed wasn't even and there was a gap. Not very comfortable! Was also told conflicting information about a room deposit and the girl on the desk when checking out in the morning wasn't very friendly or professional. A very mixed experience.

It was an excellent location for my stay - within walking distance to conference location. Good Price. Elevator was being refurbished so incredibly slow access to floors but didn't create to much inconvenience once aware. Readily available public wifi internet. Quality bed linen & covering for a good night sleep.

The evening male receptionist who appeared to be working under a great deal of pressure with absolute concern for his customers.(Appeared to be alone at a very busy desk) shabby chairs and a tiredness which I guess is reflected in the price.

Well the hotel is built around a Mansion that graces the South west corner of Bayview. The staff was very helpful the view from my room epic overseeing Albert Park golf course and Ocean Sunset. Restaurant 5 Star food, nice happy hour but bar stools need upgrading. All in all great location price and best Street Car to the City.

Close to the event we were going to and the 24 hour room service was great for a midnight dinner upon return from the event. Limited but good menu choices and the prices were reasonable. Room was basic and slightly "tired", but it was acceptable for one night away from home and the price for accommodation in Melbourne. Initially, the tv did not work but I found the antenna plug was out of the relay box under the desk. Fixed in a flash and all was good thereafter. The carpark underground was very tight but very handy at $15.00 for the night in Melbourne.
