「I was here over 20 years ago and never forgot the feeling I had staying in the hibiscus cottage with the most amazing breeze coming through, surrounded by Hawaiian farmland and a peace you have to experience to know. When I stayed here the second time I felt that feeling all over again. It’s a magic I can’t explain, but if you come here, you’ll know exactly what I mean. Pure heaven.」

「It felt like visiting a family member’s home…the room was clean, stocked, and homie. Very personable staff, friendly and helpful. There are comfortable amenities: a cool little pool, bbq and seating areas and you can borrow beach chairs, towels and ice chests. Nice continental breakfast items and very good coffee. It’s literally across the street from the beach in Kihei, great location, close enough to the eats but private and away from the bustle. Great value and would highly recommend to...

「The best family rental ever. For the price compared to all the other resorts you get the most bang for your buck: location, FULL KITCHEN, laundry, guest services, beach access, shopping, and the most beautiful ocean with snorkeling magic galore. We saw sharks turtles and fish by Black Rock. It was amazing. Our daughter loved her first trip to Hawaii. We will definitely be back to west Maui and highly recommend the Whaler. 」

「Location, location, location! If you want to take a sunrise walk on the beach, an afternoon walk on the beach, and a sunset walk on the beach, then this is the perfect place. The beach is less than a minute away. Yes, the rooms are small, but I'm sure most of your time will be spent out and about. The grounds are covered in beautiful flowers and the staff are friendly.」
