"A really great place to stay - as close as you need to be to all of Matera. There’s bars very close by so if you are a light sleeper or get upset by loud music- you may want to be further away. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful, i would stay again. If you get breakfast at Alto - its ok once but there’s so much choice its worth trying different places. Lunch & dinner in Matera will be fabulous Keiv is great, pizza place 100yards from this hotel - there’s 2 & both are great. "

"Had excellent experience here. The EasyPark app was nice for parking in front of the room. There is a grocery store is across the street and the walking zone begins across the street s well. Breakfast was served in our spacious room. Many restaurants and cafes to choose from and many paths from to explore. Highly recommended!"

"The room was very unique as it was in a cave. We had great service from the staff and a lovely breakfast too. When you walk in the room, it is beautiful. The location is brilliant too as it is near lots of amenities and in the heart of the old town."

"Matera is not the easiest place to get to in first place. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to change plans and arrived by coach bus instead of rental car. The hotel contacted us a couple days before our check in and once they learned about our change if plans, they helpfully pointed out to us that our bus station is actually quite a bit of distance from the hotel. They then booked a taxi for us that waited at the bus station and took us straight into the restricted area inside the old...

"Hotel has an amazing location. Breakfast is exquisite and rooms are very comfortable. Location of the hotel is PERFECT and it has an amazing view. Please have in mind that front desk of the hotel closes (we were not told and we were surprised when no one was in the front desk starting 8pm). You have to coordinate the transportation to the parking lot the day before so dont forget! "

"The hotel was located just outside the main town area but was a short walk. Parking is an issue. Very nice breakfast and view across the street. Our room was quite warm because they changed the air system to heat. We enjoyed our stay otherwise."
