"In over 30 years of travelling on business, this is one of the best places I have stayed in.Although I did not meet the owners it was clear that the accommodation was well looked after and virtually everything had been thought of for the comfort of their guests. The Most Beautiful Birthday Solo Trip
"I came to Margate for an overnight solo birthday trip and I had the most wonderful time at No 42 by Guesthouse (Margate). The room was gorgeous - spacious, airy, well designed and with a balcony overlooking the beach that seats two people comfortably. There are lots of little amenities in the room that make your stay comfortable as well as supporting local businesses and artists, and the pantry is an excellent touch if you're feeling snacky. Dinner was all booked up by the time I checked in as it was a Sunday and everything closes a bit earlier but I got an excellent recommendation from the staff for the restaurant next door which was amazing. Breakfast in the morning was delicious (you can eat overlooking the sea) and I also tried a treatment the spa which was great (they give you a sample of the oil they use in your massage which was a lovely touch). I'd definitely return."
