「Basic hotel that was clean and well kept with friendly staff. The daily breakfast that was included was very good. Easy walk to the beach, shops, grocery store etc. Stayed as a family with kids (youngest age 4). Would stay again. 」

「A beautiful location, with lush landscaping and only a five minute walk to the beach. Many excellent restaurants very close by on Samara’s main street. We loved the variety of birds by the pool.」

「Do not be discouraged by the road to Rancho Humo, what lies at the end turned out to be a real gem. This property is nestled up against the central wetlands of Nicoya peninsula on the shore of the Tempisque river and is a definitive location for birdwatchers from all over. My wife and I are not birdwatchers but booked this based on its remote location and its high marks from other reviews. We also booked in offseason so fortunately for us we were the only guests and the staff was so great...

「It is a very beautiful property with amazing views! The staff was very friendly. They were constantly cleaning. The food was great and reasonably priced. (We have had a hard time with finding good food for a good price in the previous places we stayed. The beach was incredible! It is a a tough drive on gravel would recommend a 4 wheel drive with good tires. We had a small car and had to go very slow. There is three creeks that need to be crossed we were okay because it is the dry hot season.」

「Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...
