This hotel is good for their large pool, large parking lot, and direct beach location. It also has a modest breakfast included. The building itself is old and needs maintenance. The room had an opening to the outside in the bathroom so the bathroom was always hot. The a/c in the bedroom turned on but didn’t cool the room much, when we advised the staff we were told that it doesn’t work so good when it’s hot and that locals dont have any a/c. There wasn’t wifi in the room so you had to either sit out on the balcony in the heat for it or sit by the reception or pool to connect. The pool was large and clean however lots of the loungers were broken so you had to prop them up using sticks from the beach. There is a nice bar/restaurant beside the hotel. This hotel would be betterwhen it’s cooler and a/c isn’t needed to sleep. Most rooms have 1 or 2 flights of stairs to get to.

Yes we had a lovely view ofvthe beach. Monkeys up in the trees as well as a lizard visiting. The surfcwas too high for swimming. They said it changed 8 to 10 days ago. No shampoo or conditioner in bathroom and some chaise longues were broken. The staff were wonderful. Lots of restaurants near by to choose from.

Perfect location directly on the beach, quiet. Warm pool. A hundred yards from a great restaurant, 10 minutes on the beach to walk to downtown. Breakfast was basic (3 choices). wifi only worked in the breakfast area (has a great view). Friendly personal, they let us check in early. Book an A/C room! Basic room but clean and spacious. Met lots of really interesting guests! Would come again!

Don’t let this hotel fool you. At first glance, I wasn’t sure what to expect. As we pulled in, I had “Welcome to the Hotel California” playing in my head. The property has definitely seen some years, it could use a bit of maintenance. But once I settled in, my doubts quickly faded. This place is truly a hidden gem. There’s a charm here that goes beyond appearances—you can almost feel the vibrant energy it must have had in its prime. And honestly, that character is part of what makes it special. The location is unbeatable. With direct access to the stunning beach, morning and sunset walks are effortless. A short five-minute stroll takes you into town, where you’ll find plenty of restaurants and shops to explore. The rooms are simple but clean and comfy. The garden is lush and beautiful, with daily visits from howler monkeys in the mango tree each afternoon. The pool was refreshing, and breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious. What really stood out was how relaxed and safe everything felt. It’s quiet, unpretentious, and offers great value for the price. Pros: clean, quiet, free breakfast, direct beach access, safe atmosphere, reasonable price, short walk to town Cons: no on-site restaurant beyond breakfast, limited amenities (no spa, laundry, etc.), slightly worn in places I would absolutely recommend this hotel to friends and family—and I’d happily stay here again. My only regret is not staying longer.

This could be an amazing hotel with a bit of work, but for the price, it wasn’t bad. The location was excellent, right in the beach a 5 minutes walk to town with a nice restaurant next door. Breakfast was included and was good, not many choices but very good. The pool was clean and very large, enough chairs for everyone and the gardens were excellent. The balcony on my room was huge with a view of pool ocean and gardens.bed was firm and pillows were perfect. For improvement- no mattress cover and thin sheets, towels small, not a lot of drawer space. Bathroom had a no room for toiletries, had a mirror but no ac, would have been nice to have a mirror in the main area of room with the ac. Would definitely stay again and recommend for travellers who don’t expect 4-5 stars

Room was great with a patio/balcony that had ocean views. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Most spoke some English so communication was not a problem. Beautiful well maintained grounds with a very nice pool.

The room was very basic. Two double beds, sink, toilet & shower. There is a fan but NO AIR CONDITIONING Included in room rate. We were informed that IF we wanted air conditioning it would be another $100 PER NIGHT on top of our room rate. This was not posted anywhere in the confirmation or reservation. That sort of "surprise" 'by the way' is awful. We would not have stayed here if we had known this prior to paying for the room. We paid, then was shown the room THEN notified of the upcharge of an additional $100 per night for air conditioning. Not a good operation/business strategy. Staff was OK when we told them on the 2nd day we had NO hot water and a burnt out sink light. We just figured that the hot water may have been an upcharge too. But after 1 full day of cold showers, we had enough inconvenience and asked about getting hot water. It was fixed within the hour at no extra charge. Glad about that.

Solch ein Hotel hatte ich noch nie. Das Personal ist nicht nur freundlich, sondern herzlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt, also auch die Zimmer. Der Knaller ist der schöne Garten: Morgens kommen die Kolibris und süße Singvögel. Am Frühstückstisch mit Meerblick sah ich die niedlichen Bunthörnchen. Für Naturliebhaber und -beobachter ist dieses Hotel sehr zu empfehlen! Auch am sauberen Strand kann man was erleben. Ein wahres Paradies!
