Repeat stay at Bayview Hotel Melaka because the room is big and it is at convenient location with easy access to various places in Melaka. While the building is not new, it is well maintained and do not show its age (if you’re not fussy to only want to see things new). One thing though, it will be great if the hotel can do some electrical wiring to provide power supply points by the bedside.

Stayed in 2 of their family suites, and thought that they will be connected. In actual fact one suite has 2 bedrooms with connecting toilet. And each level has only one family suite, located so near to the lift that if you are a light sleeper you may not have your quality sleep. Though the rooms are not new, they are spacious enough, which is one of the reason for choosing this hotel. A distance away from Jonker Street, compared to a newer hotel down the road. Traffic a bit busy at times but still able to across without pedestrian crossing nearby. Finding food is not a issue here.

Booked family suite and stayed in room 306. Upon collecting the key card, twice could not enter and staff had to come up to manually open and then replace the batteries. Room window had holes and rainwater kept seeping through and loud noises. Need refurbishment done. Otherwise, service was fine.

Car parking a breeze. Checkin easy and very friendly. Room clean and spacious and not so old as some report. Internet simple and fast. However there was constant hammering during the night 12am to 3am. When I finally called reception he said he would check and call me back. Surprisingly the hammering ceased immediately but he never called back. This incident spoilt what was an enjoyable stay but I will not exclude this hotel from future stays in Melaka.

Clean and HUGE ROOM! Spa tub in Deluxe room
Amazing/satisfying stay ! Reception staffs are all very prompt/ polite and very professional, made the stay worthwhile. Special mention to Mr Brad, who processed my check-in, he was very accommodating & tactful. This hotel is spotlessly CLEAN! Thank you Bayview Hotel for a wonderful staycation!

My son and me almost drowned in a swimming pool. The pool has 4 section, 3ft,4ft,6ft & 8ft. The 3ft and 6ft section only separated by one floating line, suddenly drop from 3ft to 6ft, very very terrible. And no pool attendant.

Room corridors too dark for family with children. Room have little lights. Curtains not clean. Grout on tiles not clean. Our room was next to lift, we can hear the lift going up & down. Carpark limited. Lvl 3 carpark only have 1 lift. Lobby single sofas is smelly & unkept. Staffs missing during breakfast at 0930 am. No one check us in during that time. Staff left the egg station, a guest was still keen for egg dish. Chef went out & took food when guest is still around. So unprofessional.

Nice and clean
Friendly and helpful front desk staffs. Only down side are, air condition is not cold. Reason given it's a old hotel. Too little power points. There are none at bed side. In the room is a 2 seater sofa but no power point beside it. So not possible to relax on the sofa while charging the phone. Points are at the mini bars and the dressing table. Not an area you want to relax.

Room for improvement.
Despite the room is big & spacious, the hotel need to review it level of health hygiene of room. The housekeeping & cleaning of the room is bad; such as : no washing (or mopping), cleaning and tidy of the bathroom floor (ie mirror, showering glass partition & toilet seat & etc). No refilling of showering necessities like toilet roll, shower gel, shampoo, cotton buds, shower cap & etc. No changing of bathe towels, hand towels and floor towel. The room is not sweeping or mopping and slipper is provide only on request. Although the stay was a bit disappointed but I would to give compliment to the floor manager for his willingness to assist and provide help and his friendly and approachable personality. Thank you.

Dirty, old, moldy smell, toilet leaking! I regretted booking this hotel the minute we arrived. We arrived after midnight, and walked into this very dim restaurant lobby, no one at the lobby and the reception is at a corner with one person. Check in was quick. however when we got to the room, it was so dark and smelt of mold. The shower area was full of black mold. The toilet bowl was positioned it's very uncomfortable sitting on it especially for taller people. We slept and asked the next morning to change room. The recep told us they couldn't do anything except we go back to the room and wait for the manager. We declined as we didn't want to spend our only full day in the room waiting and he couldn't tell us when the manager will come. We went out and came back in the late afternoon asking for an update. A manager came and said they cleaned the room and spray some refresher and brought us up to see another room. The new room they showed was exactly the same layout, we then went back to the old room, now there is a very strong refresher smell in the room and was quite unbearable. We showed the manager the air con duct area was full of dust so we were breathing in the dirt as we slept in the room. Also our original room lights are not working and we couldn't take a shower. So we moved to the new room they showed us. But the toilet bowl was leaking water. We had to step on the water while using the toilet. At this point, we gave up as we are going to check out next morning.

Condition of hotel a bit tired. Looks much better on pictures than reality. TV set in the room didn't work. Wi-Fi was completely unreliable and effectively did not work. Room acoustics not great. Can easily hear neighbours. Breakfast OK. Very convenient parking.
