Remember when you flew commercial and persuaded the captain to shorten the flight delay to satisfy the narrow 4-hour check-in window of your guest house? No? Me neither. I communicated and updated regularly with the property but with 2 hours of flight delay, I couldn't do better than arrive 10 minutes late. They inisisted on charging me almost the full amount for an extra night. They claimed, falsely, this was listed here on Expedia...it is/was not.
After being so rigid, I thought perhaps they would rigidly hold themselves to schedules and standards. I was wrong: the very next day they were cleaning bathroom and kitchen at 6 PM, blocking access for use.
The insult to injury: they tell guests to strip and deliver their bed linens too!
There are many other places we can support with our business that choose to treat travelers better.
