"We had a fantastic stay at Peppers Beach Club in Port Douglas and would happily return. From the moment we arrived, the staff made a wonderful impression. Check-in was smooth, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. What really stood out, though, was their incredible help at check-out. We ran into an issue with our Uber transfer to the airport, and the staff on duty went above and beyond—calling multiple local transfer companies on our behalf until they secured us a ride in time to make our flight. It completely turned a stressful situation into a manageable one, and we were so grateful for their effort and care. The location is another major highlight—just a short walk to both the town centre and the beach, making it easy to explore and relax without needing transport. The pool area was also a standout: beautifully designed, spacious, and perfect for unwinding. Overall, a great experience made even better by exceptional service. Highly recommend! "

"We asked for a room with few stairs. Beware that there are 2 buildings, Reception being in a back street with about 12 steep steps from the footpath and no porter to help you with your luggage. Then if you are allocated a room in the second building, you need to walk around the pool area, climb about 20 steps with just one handrail with no porter to help you with your luggage, then find the lift to your floor. The lift has no access to the underneath car park or the bins. So no easy access to the pool area or the car park, you need to use the 20 steps which makes it extremely difficult for people like myself who need to use a walking stick and finds steps almost impossible."

"Positives: Check-in was smooth, and the location was convenient with the added benefit of free parking. Negatives: When booking, I specifically requested a quiet room for our babymoon. Unfortunately, the room we were initially assigned was very noisy. The walls were extremely thin—we could hear conversations from other guests, traffic from the road, and even a washing machine running at 2am right outside our door. Given that occupancy appeared low, it was disappointing to be placed so close to other guests. As a result, I struggled to sleep for the first three nights. Being pregnant and also dealing with a cold, this significantly impacted our stay and ended up being the biggest letdown of the trip. After raising the issue with reception, we were moved to a room at the back of the property for the remaining nights. This room was much quieter, and I was finally able to rest. While I do appreciate the staff’s efforts to resolve the situation, it was frustrating that we weren’t allocated a more suitable room from the beginning. Overall, the resort felt overpriced for what it offers. Housekeeping is only provided at an additional cost, and the rooms and bathrooms are quite dated, with poor soundproofing."

"Loved this quaint, well-equipped motel in the heart of Port Douglas, where everything was in walking distance. The room was large with a nice kitchenette. There was also a barbecue and outdoor kitchen that was well-equipped& laundry room. We may have used this if there weren’t so many great restaurants in town. The front desk person was knowledgeable & helpful with our stay, including booking transportation to the airport in Cairns. If you’re looking for something unique & convenient that’s affordable, then this is your place!"
