"Fantastic value on a true English inn (reception at end of the bar) in the centre of a quaint market town. very spacious and clean bed and bath rooms, generous made to order breakfasts included, exceedingly nice and responsive staff. The George could justify twice the price the bathroom walls were fixed and the practice of storing linen bags in the hallways was rethought. Given the low rate, not the worst problems. "

Staff also willing to think about and respect my wish to not be referred to as a “guy” NB By way of explanation for anyone who may be wondering about this … Although “guys” is often considered and said to be a generic term, it isn’t! It is masculine. It’s no more generic than the use of the term “girls or women” would be. And, its frequent use to address females as “guys” renders us, the feminine, invisible; something that some of us have long sought to address in language. "Great stay. All the amenities you could wish for. Very clean, loads of toys for small children and a lovely garden. Barbecue area and play area also great. Parking was easy too with a large parking space that had room to get out two children with car seats. Extra parking available at the bottom of the road. "
