The Wavertree Hotel is a great place to stay. The hotel is owned by a lovely family, who are welcoming, hospitible, and friendly. This is an ideal place to stay if you are travelling solo. The neighbourhood of Streatham is lovely, safe, and very accessible to public transportation, including the train. There are some wonderful shops, restaurants, and bars in the neighbourhood, as well as several grocery stores. The Wavertree Hotel has a full kitchen, so you can make some great meals and save money. The hotel is secure and safe too. If you are looking for well-priced accommodation in South London, I would highly recommend booking at Wavertree Hotel. Excellent choice! Cheers, Sara

My father and I had a fantastic stay at the Wavertree Hotel. The staff were outstanding and the location was near bus and train stations so getting around London was a breeze. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone!

My flight with easyjet got canceled 30 minutes before boarding, and although Wavertree’s policy is no refunds, they graciously gave me a refund. Super kind and generous; I’m very thankful.

I had a really lovely stay here last night. Michael welcomed me warmly and showed me up to a lovely, bright, comfortable room. The bed was really comfy and it was so quiet, I slept really well. Everything was super clean. As a single person travelling for work I usually don't choose to stay in someone’s home but the reviews swayed me and I’m glad they did. I definitely hope to come back. Thank you Michael and Gene.

I ended up leaving early and staying elsewhere. The room next door to mine was rented out to people with obvious addiction problems. They arrived just before 10pm, for about 2 hours they regularly used the kettle in the communal area opposite my room - then returned to their room where they were loud, aggressive and fighting among themselves until past 3am when they all just left the hotel. As well as getting literally no sleep, I felt extremely unsafe. Oh, and there was no wifi either.

Clean room, very helpful host. Smooth check in process. WiFi is a little patchy and stairs felt a little slippery/steep. (Take care when moving up and down with luggage) Otherwise excellent stay at a good price. Recommended for short hassle free stay.

Hand soap from plastic container only soap there. Bed springs coming through mattresses. Told staff first day, nothing done. Had to stack comforters on top of each other online bed to avoid getting stabbed by springs. No lift, no tv, steep steps to all rooms. Daniel was very helpful, even gave me ride to train station. Would NOT stay here again!!!
