The staff were all lovely and attentive, and I could never complain about the cleanliness of the room. My one gripe as a budget traveller is that there was no elevator, and I was on the fourth floor. This is likely on me for not reading up on that specific amenity, but with a massive suitcase, I was pretty hard put upon to get safely to my room. The stairwells get progressively more narrow, so getting my suitcase to the top was incredibly tough.
If you're going for the single budget room, I'd recommend either packing lightly or spending the extra money for a room on a lower floor.
One wall of the shower stall had a bit of a crack in it, but no water leaked and the bathroom was very clean. I think this is a fairly old hotel, but the breakfast was hearty and the rooms quiet. For a safe place to sleep near Paddington Station on a budget, I'd still recommend it.
