I use a light mobility scooter and due to the area being of mostly older buildings, i understood i would need to drag it up the outer stairs to the hotel entrance, and i did email the property after booking to tell them this, and also that it was ok as they had a lift internally.
When i got there, i was assisted by a lovely young lady snd an older lady who helped me but it was quickly established that the lift was not big enough for even a small scooter that is the same width as wheelchair and not much longer either, so the lady switched it for a downstairs room instead. My initial impression 9f the room was compact but very high ceiling and lovely long curtains. The bathroom was average and had a bath, with a shower in it controlled by a mixer handle, but it was clean. I went out for a while and while getting ready to go out for the evening, i decided to have a bath. I realised there was no plug there for the bath, so i went to the reception area where there was another lady and asked her for a plug, she had not got a clu3 what i was asking for at first and then rummaged through a drawer , and just said, no plug, while shrugging her shoulders. I resigned to have a shower but found to have no hot water, so back to reception again, and the lady came and turned it on, and nonchalantly said, they hadnt switched the labl3s on the taps , and again shrugged her shoulders at me
