I had a very frustrating experience with the front desk regarding my IHG membership. I booked through Expedia, and after speaking with both Expedia and IHG, both confirmed that the hotel should be able to add my IHG membership number to the reservation. However, the hotel staff were unpleasant, unhelpful, and unwilling to cooperate. They simply kept saying it was “not their policy” and that they could not make any updates to the reservation. As a result, I lost IHG points for 2 rooms over 4 nights, which is a significant loss. The lack of professionalism, poor attitude, and unwillingness to assist made the experience even worse. Overall, the front desk staff were very unhelpful and uncooperative, and the housekeeping issues were unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.

I enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Kensington. The hotel is just beside the tube and bus lines which was perfect. The staff was very kind and helpful throughout my visit. My room was good overall, although the bathroom was a little small, and the shower door didn’t seem to be built properly since water would easily leak out. However, I appreciated having access to a small fridge in the room, which was very convenient, and the room itself was quiet. The included breakfast was perfect to start the day, there were lots of choices, and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety.

The breakfast is worth it, you won't regret adding it. Our room was small, but adequate. There was no dresser, only a small wardrobe, so we were unable to completely unpack. The staff was excellent and very responsive. The location is wonderful, just one block from the underground.

Disappointing Stay – Poor Service and Cleanliness My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Upon arrival, I was incorrectly charged despite having prepaid. After proving I had paid, then the FD decided to double check on her side. The biggest issue, however, was the condition of the room. I found dirty underwear under the bathroom sink and a wig under the couch—completely unacceptable from a cleanliness standpoint. I had to call multiple times before anyone from the front desk or housekeeping answered, and even then, it took an additional two hours for someone to come and clean the room. To make matters worse, the hotel was hosting a group of runners for the London Marathon. Despite this, they held loud events the night before, with no consideration for guests who needed to wake up early. The noise made it nearly impossible to sleep. If events are being hosted, basic planning—such as placing runners on higher floors away from the noise—should be expected. Overall, the staff came across as rude and not properly trained, and the lack of organization and attention to guest experience was very evident. I would not recommend staying here.

I did the eco thing for my room I didn't have to waste towel or water. the breakfast was a great place to start your day, the person in charger could've been nicer as far as for her customer service skills shown. She placed me somewhere where I didn't want to sit near the people doing the bread/toasting area, I stated I didn't want this seat and she walk away, so moved myself, maybe her bun hair was on too tight. Our concierge was freak in awesome, did everything, took care of us who were 1st time visiting...

A well run central London hotel. Everything ran as expected and breakfast was paticularly efficient. Parking at hotel worked well, although you do need to leave your key with the garage as they have to double park to maximise space.
