The staff is really friendly and the price was cheap. Depending on a room location it might get loud at night with traffic outside a window and very thin walls and ceiling. It's good for a short stay

The guy on the front (makeshift) desk could not have done enough for us - thank you. The lift worked, which was a bonus but the communal washing facilities and toilet was an unexpected treat. The room was like my Nans spare box room but worse. For nearly £200 in London I guess I set my expectations too high. If your looking for a place to chuck your bags in, get tipsy and not expect too much, this is your place. Lastly I'd like to thank the person who took the photos of the place that made me book a night's stay. Your a legend and those who own the place are profiting from your amazing artistic work.

Good value

Lovely stay. Got a nice room with balcony on the 4th floor and views over London. The staff was friendly. I would recommend this place for staying a few days. It's located close to Stepney Green tube station and there are a few nice restaurants nearby as well as a couple of supermarkets (Sainsbury's and Tesco). I think this place offers good value for money.

Cheap & good location for gig at Olympic Stadium. Very basic & room was very hot so could have done with a fan or something. But ideal & good price for a one night stay.

Good, basic, no frills reasonable accommodation .

Generally good, Good basic, no frills accommodation. If that is what you want, then that is what you will get.Host very helpful and friendly. Allowed me to book in early with no extra charge, which was most appreciated.

We stayed here qhile coming to a concert so needed somewhere just to leave our belongings and sleeo for the night. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and had a 24 hour call service if there were any problems. Was about a 5 minute walk to the closet train station, tube station and bus stop so very easy to comunte anywhere. Will most definitely be staying here again :)

Nice and clean and comfortable

Stayed at city gates hotel last night big thank u to staff member who made my stay a special one even though I was late arriving and struggled to find the place she explained everything to me so I understood Nice room nice bed nice and very clean nothing was to much trouble so after having bad experience at Amsterdam hotel last month nice and refreshing no one lying to u is a pleasant surprise

We hade a great room with Balcony, and shared bathroom hade everything we needed but the shower head bracket was broken and the shower head tilled sideways, waster and pressure was very good. I would come back
