「The view out the front window of the hotel is beautiful. The food was ok.. not amazing. I ordered the risotto and it was terrible. We ended up walking to a nearby restaurant for drinks and their restaurant was booked and had more options. Jay the manager was super friendly and the room was comfortable and the bathrooms newly renovated and clean.」

We were greeted with a smile and friendly conversation, plus some great recommendations about our travel in the area. 「I don't understand how a hotel with such an incredible location and view could be so run down. The place is dirty and poorly kept. The painting and general maintenance is either non-existent or done by people with zero skills and budget. Many of the lights in the room didn't work. The wifi is utterly useless. The food was actually pretty decent, though, so they get one positive point here.」

「Poor standard overall. Lift broken - had to climb several flights of stairs which was difficult as I have arthritis. Room ok but needed some talc. Parking inadequate as 11 spaces and 41 rooms. Breakfast was very poor, little choice for those who do not eat fry ups. Asked for alternative- scrambled eggs, but not available apparently. Toilets in the public area were dirty . Definitely not a 4 star hotel」

「The hotel and our room was visually well decorated and quirky. Our room was unreasonably hot without the heater even being on. The temperature outside being approximately 13o. We could not open our window as some sort of generator was right outside. Noisey and possibly the source of the heat in our room?? The breakfast was again visually gorgeous and the breakfast selections ample.」

「Great B&B . Everything we needed for an overnight stay in Oban before heading to the ferry to Mull .Very convenient and good fitness waking up the hill to the property . Taxi if not inclined to walk up hills . Really nice touch to have the breakfast cereals , juice and yogurt . Thank you .」

「Wonderful hosts whom made us a late request dinner. Rooms were clean and neat and everything was well decorated and functioning. A very nice breakfast as well. A minute to the ferry to Isle of Mull giving plenty of time for a day exploring Duart castle and Tobermorey. Highly recommend!」
