Room was disappointing. Booked a top range room, the view was excellent, however the room was not as expected. It was clean and tidy, however very small. No storage - one very small 500x500 3 drawer chest (low quality) , a rail for hanging clothes, a vanity shelf with mirror, and one chair. Really no room to sit, other than on end of bed. Had to sit in bar for over an hour as room not ready - I accept we were a bit early, however the Inn did not seem busy and no effort to check room readiness until after 3.00. Staff were ok, did their job, but not really enthusiastic to communicate. Was advised bar bill is kept separate and tab could be run up and settled in evening. I was presented with a bill as I left bar when room ready. Restaurant was closed, but we ate in the bar. This was very disappointing after previous visits. Chairs looked like children’s furniture, hard seats without any cushions, and overall lacking any warmth. The food however was first class, quick service and hot. Breakfast is as good as we have had in years, and service immaculate. It was a disappointing few days as The Inn has lost much of the comfort we remembered. It was a few years since we were last there, but probably some time if we ever return.

There was an issue with our room and the staff did their best to remedy it. We had a downstairs balcony room but note that it basically touches the pavement.

We were very disappointed as we explicitly booked a room for 4 people (including children age in the booking) , which should have been their accessible room I believe At arrival, nothing was mentioned and when we entered the room we could see only 2 beds (a double and a single). When questioning the booking with the receptionist (and another lady passing by), we were told it was our fault (and we should not have been able to make such booking, great !). After getting some form of acknowledgement ( but never an apology), we managed to convince the receptionist to call her manager and the best resolution for them was a refund of 20£, which is clearly not sufficient and acceptable. With no other available hotel nearby, we had no choice but squeeze in the room for the night, with our young daughter sleeping on the floor. Mistake can be made, but the quality of an establishment can be seen on how they handle it, and this was probably the worst handling I have seen in a very long time.

Room was spotless and warm with powerful shower. Nice bar with bar food - The Gluepot. The breakfast was a good selection but some of the cooked breakfast items were a bit on the cold side. Got a really good deal last minute with Expedia and would definitely recommend for a stopover. About 5 miles outside of Oban in the village of Connel.

Friendly staff, efficient service. Room was big enough for 3 people. Huge bathroom but the sink was way too small. It was impossible to wash up without wetting the floor. Beds were a little soft but still able to sleep well for the night.

Room was okay, nice view. Lacked any information regarding WiFi password, time of breakfast etc. No means of communication with reception e.g. phone. Breakfast was warm but not hot. Crockery we were given was chipped in several places. Overall the stay was okay but could have been better in our opinion.

Really nice room with the nicest bathroom we have had on our trips to Scotland. The staff was really nice and made sure we felt welcome. Eating at the Inn was great. Great food, massive portions and lots of both locals and other guests.

After I had a slight mishap with my booking the staff went the extra mile to accommodate us. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast had so much choice.

Would definitely recommend! Set in a stunning location, the view from the room was out of this world! Room was clean and tidy, bathroom was spotless and finished to a high standard and the bed was comfortable. Staff were all super friendly and accommodating, dinner was stunning and bar was very reasonably priced. Breakfast in the morning was good too, wide choice of hot and cold breakfast items and an array of fruit juice, teas and coffees. If you are looking for somewhere to base yourself whilst you explore the area, I would highly recommend the Oyster Inn to all - especially those with (well behaved) dogs!
