"Very spacious clean rooms. Only issue was that it was warm on the 5th floor, air con only goes down to 17 degrees and it could do with being cooler. Otherwise all great."

"The room was very clean and large. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is available by entering the Melrose Car Park. Although they have limited places available we did not experience any issues finding a space. The food was excellent. We had a sea view with some amazing views over the beach and the Sun Sets are simply breathtaking from the room. The shower could do with a little more pressure but OK. Bathroom was clean and spacious. "

"As someone who travels frequently for work and stays in a wide range of hotels, it takes a lot for a place to truly stand out, but this was an absolute gem. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and professional service. Every member of staff I interacted with was polite, approachable, and genuinely helpful, which made the whole experience feel effortless. The room itself exceeded expectations, spotlessly clean, well organised, and surprisingly spacious, offering a comfortable retreat after a long day. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this fantastic little find and will certainly be returning on future trips."

"The mattress was dreadful. Every spring could be felt and creaked and groaned. I asked to be moved and was put into a room with a better mattress. With a spare duvet on top the mattress in 2nd room was comfortable. There was a huge radiator in bathroom which couldn't be turned off. Bathroom was like a sauna. Well kept foyer which smelt fresh until staff came in smelling of stale cigarette smoke. Room was clean and freshly painted. Carpets in rooms and hallway looked new . As long as you have a decent mattress this hotel is good value , clean and quiet ."

"Staff were awesome, easy walk from train station, lots of choice for food nearby. Bus stop out front. If you got heavy luggage request room downstairs as there no lift. "

"Really disappointed with this hotel. Room was spacious but decor is outdated. We had a massage at the spa that was reasonably priced. Dinner and breakfast were both disappointing. Suggest staying in town as there’s limited options around. "
