"Very good. Quirky old building but modernised interior - really nice feel. Very friendly staff. Didn’t eat/drink but menu and bar looked very impressive. Be warned, car park very tight exit, you’ll struggle not to transfer paint to the brick walls in a pick up/van. My 7 seater just made it out! "

"We stayed at the Royal hotel on the way to Butlins Minehead. The hotel is well situated and free parking on a spacious carpark. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Can not fault the food in the bar or at breakfast. Family room was clean and spacious. We have stayed here on several occasions and will do again. "
