  • Really wanted to see the Bighorn Sheep, and was told the the easiest and most reliable place to get a view of them was at Hemenway Park! It was really amusing to see a whole herd of sheep wandering around the kids' playground. Not surprising they were there...lush grass for snacking.

the view from our room was spectacular, the room was very nice and the staff were just lovely. The food offering was very poor and downstairs was full of smoky smells even though they said they had new ventilation system in. The one non-smoky spot (the store) had really bad food.

So close to the Hoover Dam if you are visiting. The staff from front desk to bartenders to gift shop were all friendly and nice! We had the BEST time panning for shells and arrowheads at the gift shop and playing pool and games in the Bourbon St themed bar and our own karaoke room at the Red Dragon bar! The room itself was very large, run down, but the bed was clean and bathroom clean. Since the bypass was built I’m sure they don’t get the business they used to so they could renovate the rooms. Even with the run down room, we would definitely stay here again just for all the things to see and do inside the lodge/casino.

The hotel was great with great proximity to the Hoover dam (it's a long but, awesome hike 8mi round trip), close to Boulder City, an hour and a half from grand canyon West and 30 min from Vegas. Great views of lake Mead and the surrounding mountains. The food options....meh, it's not gourmet. Think microwave dinners and you would be spot on. The pool was closed as it's only open seasonally. For us coming from the north. 75- 80 degrees is perfect pool weather. However, that doesn't seem to be the case in NV. Overall the place was nice. Only one of the two elevators was working so waiting for a ride upstairs took a bit longer then usual, I would guess

No coffee in the rooms - that's enough to never come back. Cannot eat anywhere in the hotel if you have anyone under 21 - just eat I mean - every restaurant asks for ID. No service at all - maid is every 3 days and if you need more towels, toiletries or anything you will need to go to the desk to get it. A lot of the staff has attitude and clearly doesn't want you to come back. Very guarded with the shampoo, soap and conditioner. Four of us got one very tiny bottle of conditioner and one very tiny bottle of shampoo and one of those small little bars of soap. After that we had to beg for more,

Right by Hoover Dam with a good trail so you can home there within 1.5-2 hours. Right outside of Boulder city and really only like a 20-30 minute drive to Vegas. A lot of small stores and restaurants on the main floor. The Gambling is all just machines. I looked around for a Crapps table and was disappointed when i didn't find one. Also the internet was pretty dog water compounded with the fact the phone reception specifically inside hotel is largely pretty shotty also. Other than that good stay. :)

On the doorstep of the Hoover Dam trailhead, 35 minutes away from downtown Vegas. The Hoover Dam Lodge was very welcoming. Treat yourself to historic downtown Boulder 10 minutes away with shops & the Coffee Cop Cafe. Boulder Creek golf course, an excellent play also close. Hike, golf, fish, hit the casinos. All close with no resort fee.

We stayed here as it was the closest to the Black Canyon Float trip. The facility was clean and served our needs. No coffee in the room but ready downstairs. I would return for the friendly staff!

I love the location and scenery. I was supposed to have a lake view room but didn't get it. Our room was huge, but the furniture was dated and the a/c unit was super loud. The people working the shoos were great and loved getting to know them. Our room was only cleaned and towels refreshed once in the week we were there but we didn't ask for more as we were in and out. With a little more attention to detail this place would truly be the diamond in the rough!

Front desk staff was amazing!!! This place is a true hidden gem if you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. You can even bar hop without leaving the casino!!! We really enjoyed that part.
