「we stayed in room 4 and despite having a radiator this was centrally controlled by the main reception. we found this out on night 2 as when we went to bed on the first night we whacked the radiator on thinking that would be that but nope, cold as ice through the night. reception did sort but the room didnt get that warm so assuming the thermostatic valve wasnt fully operational. the shower screen squeegee at the bottom didnt properly fit and a gap up at the hinge point meant water escapes onto...

「I had a wonderful 2-night stay at the Glynhill Hotel; the staff were amazingly friendly and couldn't do enough for me. the rooms are beautifully presented and clean (the toilet was a little bit of a squeeze - but I am a big fella) the food was amazing, from the all-you-can-eat breakfast to the restaurant to the room service. the pool was in perfect condition and not too busy, which was a help. I would definitely stay here again.」

「No toilet paper and other amenities refill, been talked to the staff a few times and get ignored about bath tub stopper no one come and check or fix and unable to help us change the room. The hotel charged twice and still cannot get a refund… bad experience ever! 」

「A strange hotel. Great location, helpful staff, clean, comfortable room and very disappointing breakfast. If they could get this resolved this hotel would be fab. Our first breakfast experience was just plain awful for an hotel that has charged nearly £400 for a three night stay. Small buffet table with a few sad looking pastries. Toaster with only choice of bread which was the plastic sliced white stuff. My wife asked for poached eggs on toast. They arrived on a cold plate and not on toast....

「Lovely hotel and within easy distance to Southside of Glasgow. Staff were very polite, helpful and welcoming. Room was nicely decorated and spacious. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious and the bar staff were very good at recommending food and ensuring we had everything we needed.」

「This is a very good hotel , and the best value for money on the island. It is quite clearly an old hotel but very well looked after. The one down point for me would be the attention to detail with the cleaning of the rooms. The shower tray had hairs in it, the teaspoons and mugs were not clean. The carpet had quite a few "suspect" stains. Would definitely stay here again, but covered everything we needed to do on the island so probably wont be back for that reason. The breakfast was great.」
