Lake Yellowstone Hotel and Cabins

Lake Yellowstone Hotel and Cabins

8/10 Good
"There were pluses and minus to this facility. The plus was the extra large room and bathroom. We did not expect this from a hotel that was built in the 1890s. The room and bathroom were very clean. With no AC, why ceiling fans are not common is a mystery. We visited the dining room and had an amazing dinner. Our server was on point and earned every bit of the big tip we left. We also had their breakfast buffet in the dining room and it was well appointed. The outside of the building looks like it needs some attention. There also needs to be more chairs on the extremely large porch. Its a great place to sit to get a great breeze and enjoying the view, but the limited chairs was baffling. The only thing that was a negative was the lack of wifi anywhere on the property. We had to visit a sister facility (5 minute drive) to use their wifi. Also, for those traveling, there isn't any TV in the rooms. But we ran across this at a total of 3 spots. Bring a book to unwind for the evening."

Canyon Lodge & Cabins - Inside the Park

"Room was clean, but very small. I read some reviews and really didn't notice anyone mentioning that there is no TV and no AC. The evenings were cool, so we requested a fan. Fans are a must and why these rooms don't have ceiling fans is a mystery. I main issue was how small the shower was. My husband and I are not large people and we both had difficulty in the shower. I cannot imagine a big man trying to shower. Regardless, the facility is very well maintained, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room is really just a place to sleep/shower before you are off to your next adventure (-:"
