The Heron is a very well maintained vintage building with the creature comforts and customer service to entice me to want to return for a longer visit. There’s ample parking and we were able to plug in our electric car. The lobby area features an appealing lounge with massive fireplace and seating as well as the breakfast dining area. Breakfast was of a good standard with fruit and eggs made to order . The rooms have a mixture of vintage charm and expansive windows along with a nice bathroom with tub and shower . The bedding was sumptuous and the room very clean and thoughtfully appointed . This review would be I complete if I didn’t mention the staff who were very warm and friendly and helpful , just what a traveller needs. The Heron will undoubtedly be the place I want to stay, the next time I visit the charming town of La Connor with its boutiques and galleries.

The location was great - it was very walkable to the Waterfront and the other museums in the area. The spa services were also really convenient since we stayed over. There was also an electric car charger about a 2 minute walk away as well.

A wonderful weekend getaway in a cozy inn!
From the moment we walked in the front door, our experience here was wonderful. Alvin met us to make sure we had the keys to our room, as well as go over everything that we needed to know about our stay. He even helped us with our dog who was a little shy having walking up the stairs to the 3rd floor--bacon is always a motivating factor! The room was nice and cozy and faced the back of the property which lead to a beautiful sunrise against the Cascade Mountains the next morning. The breakfast was wonderful and made to order for us. Overall, our stay and experience at The Heron Inn was excellent!

Clean & quiet, bedding & pillows were very comfortable, friendly staff, enjoyable breakfast, walking distance to restaurants. Spa services on site were great. 6 easy blocks to river & down shops. Just need to be able navigate the stairs.

This quiet Inn provided a relaxing and restful weekend, even during Fourth of July festivities. The accommodating staff went out of their way to provide an enjoyable stay. As an example, our dog was not well during our trip and the chef prepared some shredded chicken to help settle his stomach. My wife's spa treatment was delightful! Highly recommend!

The rooms were nice, the grounds were nicely landscaped and well maintained. The staff were particularly nice and genuinely concerned with the enjoyment of our stay. We had massages while there and we both thought they were the best we'd ever had. Highly recommend others to visit. LaConner is always a relaxing stay....

The Heron Inn shines in the stars of LaConner! Staff are very friendly and funny, the breakfast is magnificant (hand-cut fresh fruit bowls, roasted veggies, yogurt, gluten free pancakes or waffles, toasty potatoes), the building is cute, quiet, and clean, and our stay was delightful. It needs a bit of maintenance (scratched paint and a few broken bathroom tiles - but that's just a quibble and understandable because of the Covidj-19 problems). In all, I could not recommend The Heron Inn enough.

The Heron Inn
We had a great stay. The Inn is lovely old home with quaint furnishings and very friendly owner and staff. Our room was large, with nice furnishings and a comfortable king size bed. Everything was within easy walking distance and very safe. Breakfast was delicious. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends.
