Hotel Burbank

10/10 Excellent

"I loved how close it was to Burbank airport and the airport shuttle was a great amenity. The staff was great, the place was big and clean. The restaurant was really good ate breakfast & dinner. I did not get to use the pool but would have if I had more time. Definitely recommend and will be returning soon. "

"We stayed one night in an executive room at a higher level that provided access to the club lounge. I am not sure if I would have paid more for access to the club lounge if I had known that on friday nights and saturdays, they barely have any food or drinks in the lounge. At check-in, I was told that there would be some grab-and-go snacks available in the club lounge, but when I went there at 7:30pm on saturday, there was none. The soda fridge was locked. The only drinks available were water from a water dispenser which is fine with me as well as coffee drinks from an automatic coffee maker. For some reason, the coffee drinks did not come out particularly hot. There were some apples and oranges available. When I asked whether they would restock any snacks that evening, the front desk told me no because they don't have staff working on friday nights and saturdays because they are a business hotel and don't have as many travelers on the weekends. I didn't find that answer very satisfactory as I paid for the club lounge expecting to be able to use it. So if the club lounge has limited service/food availability on certain days, I think they should state that in their description of the club lounge. We have stayed at other hotels with a club lounge and this one was definitely not well-stocked in comparison. We did have a decent breakfast in the lounge on sunday morning. Our favorite part of our stay was the bathroom/shower, excellent rain shower and good water pressure."

Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza

"We stayed 2 nights at the Omni. Staff was very helpful. Even though we didn't use the valet parking service, the staff still offered to help us get our luggage out of our car. Checkin was fast and friendly. The location was a nicer part of DTLA so we felt safe. The room was comfortable, but it was clear that it was an older hotel. I think that for a "luxury hotel" that they would have nicer towels, as some were a bit torn. Wished the shower and sink faucet had more water pressure. The beds were comfortable. The TV was on the older side, not as user friendly as newer TVs. We had a nice view of the plaza from a higher level room. It was nice that the hotel room comes with 2 free bottles of water every day. Extra tip: we found that there are refrigerated water bottles right outside of the hotel gym so if you need water, you know where to go."
