"Buffet breakfast was tepid, warm plates would have helped. Our second morning after our request they cooked it fresh to order - massive improvement. Unfortunately for our evening meal we were served undercooked batter on our fish. Restaurant staff handled brilliantly. Residences are not a part of the hotel in the main house but converted cottages, a short walk away and unlit. The toilet in the main bedroom wouldn't stop filling. Husband managed to shut it off, reported to reception next morning. Next night same occurred, we were told maintenance had gone home, luckily we managed to switch it off but making it unusable for a second night. Not really acceptable. Need a shelf for shower toiletries as they are on the floor. Second bedroom ensuite has a bath with shower over - needs a curtain of some sort as water goes everywhere.No spare pillows as one may have anticipated in the main hotel and they were quite flat. I'm sure more would have been available if we had asked again. The 'dressing table' needs a chair/stool to sit on no-one can stand to the mirror height. The heating in residence could only be set for 2 hours at a time so walked back into a cool property although the bedroom seemed to work continuously. More mugs are needed, we had to ask. Washing up liquid needs to be supplied. The property and bedlinen were spotlessly clean. No safe in the room. Spa was fine. "

"Vastly overpriced and understaffed for what it is. Reminded me of a 1970's idea of what a reasonable hotel was. Positives: the staff are great but not enough of them. If they're on minimum wage it's criminal, they were so busy and deserve a LOT more. Negatives: Executive room, really? Separate toilet and bathroom with 1970's rendering on the walls. The TV is one step up from Cathode ray tubes, no casting here! Air con? Nope, you get a fan, in any colour as long as its white! Restaurant, apparently opens at 6pm but no-one there til 6.45. Gave up and went to the local Italian. Breakfast, nearly £20 per person and one, yes 1 Coffee machine for a restaurant that looks like it accommodates 100+. We waited nearly 15 minutes for Coffee by which time our breakfast was cold. The hotels one and only redeeming feature is it proximity to the docks. That's it. And at £260 per night per room you know it's a scam. Avoid, stay further out of town and use the short stay car parks by the docks."

"Great location but rooms very basic and a bit tired. Ok for a short stay. Cant comment on breakfast as there was a powercut and so no breakfast. This was a street wide issue"

"Beautiful property within walking distance of all the resturaunts and shopping. Staff was super friendly and breakfast was delicious."

"Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The food was good. We parked in the Cattle Market in Frome which was reasonably close."

"The hotel was in a good location and provided parking at a cost of £15 a night. I feel £10 should be a max. When we arrived, there was no warm welcome nor real eye contact, which ws bad, no smiles, no helpful information about the place.!"

"Unfortunately for us we arrived later in day and upon returning to our room later that night we found our bed was unclean.Also we had opened wardrobes to look for more pillows to find the previous visitors used socks. Staff were helpful in moving room but not ideal circumstances."
