No parking available so we parked at the mall adjacent to the hotel. Our flights are at 9am so we checked out at 5.30am but door to mall car park is locked by mall staff. Walked up car ramps to car park from outside but could not leave as payment must be made inside the mall which open at 10am. There are also no security personnel at mall to help us. Fortunately a kind hotel was was able to call mall parking attendant to come over in motorbike so we can pay and leave the car park. Fortunately we...

Kasih Sayang Hill Resort

Kota Kinabalu

10/10 Excellent

It is a clean tidy place with very attentive staff. The food was good and the rooms were comfortable. We used it as a base for our two week stay in Sabah and really enjoyed our stay there. The drive up and down the hill is interesting. It is a windy road and you have to watch out for the local water buffalo's (which are nowhere near as aggressive as the ones in Australia). Kota Kinabalu is a good launching point for all sorts of activities. We were able to see Orangutan's at a reserve about...

Kokol Heights Villa

Need to improve on the cleanliness of the kitchen. Inspect the kitchen utensils, the water filter is leaking, the dish soup is non-existent, the drying rack left in the kitchen cupboard to house insects, the living room sofa leather was teared apart. The amenities advertised includes water bottles, but when asked for it from the staff on site, it’s not provided as complimentary. The bedroom door cannot be locked for some room, there’s stain on every bed and bedsheets. Overall the 3 bedroom...

Staff is very friendly, the check in process were pretty fast but check-out process need to be improve. The 2 Bedroom beach front pool villa was awesome, overall cleanliness is good and they provide sufficient kitchenware to those who wants to cook in the villa. Gaya Island Resort

Gaya Island

10/10 Excellent

We were on the last two days of our 6 day trip throughout Malaysia, starting in Kuala Lumpur and Sandakan. We wanted to wrap up the holiday with two relaxing days at a resort, doing much of nothing. We arrived at the Jesselton Ferry facility via taxi from the airport. A quick ride arriving to find the Gaya Island Resort was the only ferry desk to have an enclosed, air-conditioned room to await our departure to the island. The boat was much faster and cleaner than any other ferry service we...

Gayana Marine Resort

Gaya Island

10/10 Excellent

The place was amazing. We had a really good time there. It's Maldives on a budget. Can't beat the rooms right above the ocean with tons of fishes and corals in your backyard. They could use a few more shuttles between their sister resort and town. The staff is very friendly. Overall a great experience. One complaint we had was that the Chinese restaurant served us raw chicken. My young kids ate them. Luckily they are ok, otherwise would have been quite serious.

These guys know what they're doing. Absolutely amazing communication immediately after booking. They send you all the details. And tell you to update them when you're on your way. So if you're lost they will help you find the way. The interior design, the lighting, the quality and finishing, the marble used. You would think you are at a 5 star hotel. But the prices are waaaaay more attainble and what you're pay for. You are getting a bargain. Just the quality of toilet paper they're using...
