We absolutely LOVE the Dormy Inns we have stayed at, and this property was no exception. The top amenity is of course the onsen, which we visited twice a day. It is a wonderful and relaxing experience after a tough day of climbing temple steps! The other little touches are quite nice as well: the free ice cream, ramen, comfortable lounge attire, it all adds up to a very nice stay. The staff is always friendly, and it’s just a great place to stay.

overall I’m content with my stay at Dormy Inn. Elevator can be tricky during rush hour (especially in the morning) - not a big issue Some tourists with kids can be more careful with noise (screaming and such) … this is something I wasn’t exactly happy with. Yet it’s not the property’s fault. Loved the perks - free ice cream, probiotics drinks, and ramen! Location is absolutely perfect - CVS, shopping, and public transportations! Highly recommend!

The onsen facilities are wonderful. The hotel is a short walk from Tenmonkan, where many shops and restaurants are located. Most of the attractions in Kagoshima Chuo are walkable from the hotel.

A famous chain hotels for business trip travelers in Japan. Perfect location, 5 minutes walking to Tenmonkan, where you can also take the bus to Kagoshima airport. Above average room size without 🛁. The natural hot spring on the rooftop is the trump card of the hotel. Good breakfast with Pork shabushabu and free noodle for night snacks.

Top hotel in beautiful Kagoshima - 100% recommend - stayed two nights and it is so convenient - very friendly staff, a lot of free extras (morning probiotic drink, yummy soba noodles after fantastic Rooftop Onsen in the evening, free freshly brewediced coffee and tea and juice all the time, great and affordable in-house massage very recommendable, and free ice cream after Onsen - amazing! All in a perfect location all in walking distance and easy to reach - hope to come back very soon! Beautiful places still exist :)

Had a love/hate relationship with this hotel. Room was small, not particularly clean. Bed was hard and lumpy, pillows flat, and a/c not very cool. Bad smell in the room until we ran water down bathtub drain. However …. The hotel has a wonderful onsen area. Spas are from natural hot springs. In both men’s and women’s areas there was an outdoor onsen, an indoor onsen, cold pool and sauna.

I like that they have onsen facility, so that I don't have to go elsewhere to enjoy onsen. They also have complimentary ramen at late night. The only thing that needs improvement will be the working space in the room. I need to work while traveling and I find there is not enough desk space.
